For the last dozen years, Jennifer has created whimsical oil pastel drawings of the landscape. Her travels across and through the American countryside inform and influence her art.
The subject is about an appreciation of the simple; whether it be the grace of an old adobe building melting back into the earth, a grand old barn standing guard over her fields, or a winding road leading around a bend.
Jennifer's work is loosely based on photographs she has taken and memories she has brought back from her travels across the country and through her home state of New Mexico.
Jennifer strives to capture the essence of those landscapes, hoping to make the drawings into places people would like to visit.
