This award winning piece is a floor lamp made of Black Walnut with an integrated side table made out of White Ash. It's minimalist design is constructed using a technique called bent lamination. This technique requires taking a single board and slicing it into strips, gluing each strip back together around a form, then shaping that form to the desired design. This construction method creates a structurally sound yet lighter aesthetic to the form and function of this lamp.
14" height x 8" diameter
The pearl white plastic lampshade holds it's form with natural beechwood rods that run through the middle of the shade. It's suspended from a brass dimmer switch.
